Canon E1 plugin for Final Cut Pro is coming (timed to NAB.) It will not require the memory card’s root structure to be present. This should open the door to saving and organizing clips in something like Aperture prior to working with them in FCP.

On location last week in the middle of Long Island to photograph a former Grumman factory which is now an office complex. A sprawling site situated on almost 100 acres, it once produced radar, intercom, and weapons-testing equipment for the Army. No it’s not Campbell Soup, it’s Campbell Hall, photographed last fall for Fordham University. Designed by Sasaki Associates, the complex of three buildings will accommodate 460 students and will be Fordham’s first set of LEED-certified Gold buildings.
I photographed Campbell Hall at sunrise and this beautiful light lasted… maybe two minutes.
