ABOUT Writing this I am most struck by the amount of change since I last wrote my About page in 2009. Then I was a photographer with over twenty-years experience specializing in people and place for editorial, corporate, design, and advertising clients; now filmmaking is over half of my business. The clientele and the range of subjects have not changed but what I create has - handcrafted films, often promotional documentaries, which tell stories through the juxtaposition of interviews, b-roll, sound, and music. I still love creating beautifully lit, evocative portraits. I still love creating engaging architectural photographs but I relish the stories I can tell through filmmaking. Some clients know me for only one speciality (portraits, architecture, or film), others rely on me to combine multiple disciplines within the same project. I grew up in Princeton, NJ, and attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. After stints in New Mexico (~1 year) and in New York City (~10 years), I returned to Princeton where I currently live with my wife, two daughters, and our newest addition, Caesar the dog.
